Deepika Padukone Reminisces 'School' Days As She Gears Up For 'Chhapaak'
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone who is all set to star in Meghan Gulzar's upcoming venture 'Chhapaak' reminisced her school days while working on the project. The actress on Thursday, January 17, shared a throwback picture from her childhood, where young girl Deepika can be seen all dressed up for school, carrying an innocent smile on her face. Sharing the picture on Instagram the Bollywood diva captioned it saying, "back to school...🎒 #Chhapaak"

'Chhapaak' will be directed by Meghna Gulzar and is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who has endured the violence in 2015 while she was waiting at a bus stop in Delhi. Deepika Padukone will be playing the lead in the film and will be featured opposite 'Half Girlfriend' actor Vikrant Massey.
Although the connection of the photograph with her upcoming film is not yet clear, media reports suggest that the actress will be featured in different looks in the film in order to justify the various surgical procedures that Laxmi went through following the acid attack.
Deepika Padukone, who is debuting as a producer with the project, announced the making of the film on December 24, last year. The actress took to Twitter and described the project as, "A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquashable human spirit. Elated to collaborate with Fox Star Studios on #Chhapaak @meghnagulzar @masseysahib @foxstarhindi"

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Deepika who last appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2018 venture 'Padmaavat' recently tied the knot with her co-star Ranveer Singh. The pair, who has appeared in several other films together finally tied the knot in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15, after 6 years of courtship. As per media reports, the couple will be again sharing screen space in Kabir Khan's sports drama '83' where Ranveer will portray legendary cricketer Kapil Dev and Deepika will be featured as his wife.
