Your make-up just got a Maths lesson!
Rehana Chowdhary creates the geometric make-up look
Put aside those wingtips, and smokey eyes. For the latest in eye make-up takes things up an edgy notch. Say hello to ‘geometric eyes’ — the art-inspired beauty mantra that’s creating a buzz on Instagram. If you’re thinking circles, triangles and rhombuses, you’re quite right, for geometric make-up is about a well-defined look with sharp angles, creating shapes with eyeliners and eye shadows. You can use pop colour hues for an arty look and it’s easy to do, too. Says make-up expert Rehana Chowdhary, “The geometric trend is used to draw attention to the eyes. It can work for a party, depending on the theme. Use kohl pencils to outline and deep colours to fill in the shapes that you make. Since this is a dramatic look, go with bright neon shades as well as coral hues, but watch that you don’t overdo it. Use these shades along with black. Add false lashes to accentuate the look.”On the lips, too

Why stick to the eyes? Geometric works on lips, too. Shares make-up expert Shivani Laliya, “With just a few tricks, create patterns on the upper and lower lip. Make tiny triangles on the upper lip and keep the lower lip curved or make rectangles and squiggles on the edges of the lips.”
